Terms of Use

1. Service

Lumday helps you organize birthdays, schedule reminders, use widgets, create backups, and request optional AI-generated greetings. You are responsible for the information you add and for reviewing reminders and generated content before use.

2. License

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Lumday for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with these terms and Apple’s rules.

3. Free and PRO features

The free version supports up to 7 people. iCloud synchronization, reminders, personalization, and backup export remain available without PRO.

Depending on the current app offering, PRO may include more than 7 people, AI greetings, widgets, custom groups, a pinned person, alternate app icons, and importing a backup. If PRO expires, existing records are not deleted, but adding or importing beyond the free limit and other paid features are unavailable until PRO is restored.

4. Purchases, subscriptions, and trial

PRO is offered through Apple as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions and may also be offered as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Current prices and eligibility are shown by Apple before purchase.

The yearly subscription may include a 7-day free trial for eligible Apple Accounts. The monthly subscription and Lifetime purchase do not include that trial unless Apple explicitly shows a different offer before confirmation. After a trial, the yearly subscription renews automatically at the displayed price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Apple manages purchase confirmation, billing, cancellation, and refunds. Restore Purchases is available in Lumday. Lifetime access remains available for the lifetime of the app and associated Apple Account unless the transaction is refunded or revoked by Apple.

5. AI greetings and fair-use limits

AI greetings are generated through Cloudflare Workers AI and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. Review and edit generated content before sending or publishing it. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or unnecessarily sensitive information.

To keep the service reliable and economically sustainable, verified PRO and Lifetime access currently includes up to 100 AI greeting generations per monthly quota period. An eligible 7-day trial includes up to 25 generations during the trial. On devices where Apple App Attest is unavailable, a protective limit of up to 50 generations per monthly quota period may apply. Lumday shows the remaining allowance and reset information where available. Limits may be adjusted prospectively to prevent abuse or respond to provider constraints, without removing already purchased non-AI features.

A canceled, pending, unverified, refunded, expired, or revoked transaction does not grant access. Repeated requests protected by idempotency do not intentionally consume the allowance more than once. Provider outages or controlled server failures are intended not to consume quota.

6. Acceptable use

You may not bypass rate limits, quotas, purchase verification, or paid-feature controls; interfere with the app or backend; gain unauthorized access; violate applicable law; or infringe third-party rights.

7. Third-party services

Lumday may use Apple CloudKit, StoreKit, App Attest, local notifications, App Store Connect Analytics, Xcode Organizer diagnostics, Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI, and Aptabase EU anonymous product analytics. Availability and operation of these features depend on their providers and are governed by the respective providers’ terms.

8. Availability and changes

Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Temporary maintenance, network problems, provider outages, Apple services, and device settings may affect operation. We may make reasonable changes necessary for security, legal compliance, compatibility, or service sustainability.

9. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Lumday is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, delivery of every notification, prevention of all data loss, or accuracy and suitability of AI content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Lumday owner is not liable for indirect damages, missed reminders, lost data, third-party service failures, or actions taken based on AI content, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

11. Termination

You may stop using Lumday at any time by deleting the app and managing subscriptions through Apple. Access may be restricted for material violations of these terms or abuse of the service.

12. Apple terms

Use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Mandatory Apple requirements and applicable law prevail in the event of a conflict.

13. Changes and contact
