Terms of Use
Last updated: June 20, 2026
By using Lumday, you agree to these terms and the applicable Apple App Store terms.
1. Service
Lumday helps organize birthdays, provide reminders and widgets, create backups, and offer optional AI-generated greeting suggestions. You are responsible for the information you add and for reviewing reminders and generated text before use.
2. License to use
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Lumday for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with these terms and Apple’s rules.
3. In-app purchases
PRO features may be offered as auto-renewable subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple’s App Store. Price, billing period, trial or introductory offers, renewal rules, and eligibility are presented by Apple before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Purchases, billing, and refunds are managed by Apple. Restore Purchases is available in Lumday.
If PRO expires, existing people remain available, but adding or importing beyond the free limit and other PRO features are disabled.
4. AI content
AI greetings are generated by an external model and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. Review and edit generated text before sending or publishing it. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, or excessively sensitive information through Lumday.
5. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to bypass rate limits or paid-feature controls, interfere with the app or backend, gain unauthorized access, violate applicable law, or infringe third-party rights.
6. Third-party services
Lumday may use Apple CloudKit, StoreKit, iOS notifications, Cloudflare, and Google Gemini. Availability and operation of these features depend on their respective providers and are governed by their terms.
7. Service availability
Lumday features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee continuous availability of iCloud, notifications, AI generation, or other third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, Lumday is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered, data will never be lost, or AI content will always be accurate or appropriate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Lumday owner is not liable for indirect damages, missed reminders, lost data, third-party service failures, or actions taken based on AI content, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
10. Termination
You may stop using Lumday at any time by deleting the app and managing subscriptions through Apple. Access may be restricted for material violations of these terms or abuse of the service.
11. Apple terms
Use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Mandatory Apple requirements and applicable law prevail in the event of a conflict.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Lumday evolves or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
